No one is talking about platforms as being a key driver. Content and access rule the day even now. I am just acknowledging that there are different players to consider in the here and now that affect how people get there and what they will see. If you want the internet, you will need access. I take it you believe that the computer will rapidly fade to black. I disagree, at least for the purposes of investing in companies during these next 3-5 years. What I meant by "the internet is the medium of choice" is that people turn to it for their news, stocks, recepies, computer recreation whatever... I didnt finish my thought correctly, as I wanted to note that the home PC is still going to be where people get their home work/school work done via software and applications. DIS fits that for the kids anyway. SEEK delivers the net part, and AAPL lets it all come together in their computer. the i in iMac stands for internet, and thats no accident. People are aware of your PC less model. But you have to get there right now with the tools available.

It *really* is about "PC's or Apples or Microsoft or Netscape" You forgot a host of others too. At least from an investors point of view. Whether you care to agree with the technology or not, these are the players in the here and now...and the fun part lies in trying to find what works well with one another. Complementary synergies are leading inevitably to your "Internet is the Computer" mantra. My humble hope is to profit from the intermediary steps needed to bring that package together. MSFT is finding that it cant deliver the content and access alone via MSN. I am just suggesting that AAPL/DIS/SEEK could possibly do what MSFT cant, and thats deliver a platform with wide markets share to sell the hell out of everythinig they make.

Let the mating dances begin.
