>> I read somewhere that the "proof" narrowed it down to Jefferson or one of his nephews.

Yeh, but that would nuance the propaganda they were spewing.

Like the "400 historians" brought nay, bought together by Sid Vicious and People for the unAmerican Way.

Remember, for the Left the truth is always trumped by their cause. Heck, they built whole societies based on denying the truth as they pushed their idiotology.

They promised paradise and delivered up the Gulag.

No, the DNA tests conclusively proved that it was Thomas Jefferson. Historians who wanted to "exonerate" Jefferson always used to say things like, "It must have been his brother who fathered that illegitimate child. You see, the brother was quite close to Sally Hemmings... <blah> <blah> <blah>". Now they have been forced to eat mud! <G>

Historian: Jefferson test overstated

WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 (UPI) - A historian who helped work on the study suggesting Thomas Jefferson may have fathered a child by one of his slaves says the test results may have been overstated. Herb Barger says he will tell a Washington news conference (Wednesday) the DNA test results indicate Eston Hemings Jefferson could have been fathered by any one of a number of Jefferson relatives.
