Actually, you posted a two paragraph diatribe directed at me, ridiculing how I couldn't possibly know anything about the subject since you had been on SI for a longer period of time, and then asking if I even knew what "rdram" was. Maybe it was that other person standing behind me.

If anyone is interested, I spent a couple hours of time this afternoon writing a simple C program that can decode Amazon's order # format. (yeah, I know, I'm a geek) It doesnt allow you to get free books (sorry), but it does allow you to keep track of how many orders have been processed since your last order, whenever you place an order and receive a tracking number. (They don't use a cleartext sequential number, I suppose to keep people from seeing their sales pace.)
