note #93: America Online (AOL) advanced to 160 in active after-hours trading lastThursday as index fund managers added the world's largest Internet
service provider to their portfolios which track the S&P 500. The shares, today, however, lost 6 5/16 to 148 13/16 in mild profit-taking on volume of 20 million shares. RB member p427 mulled over an options strategy in note #93: "Sell Jan covered call. Premiums are good for strikes of 65. Should check out 70 and 75. If AOL runs, covered call writer participates in higher strike (if stock gets called away), or if stock softens on profit taking, the premium is kept.
