Well, one other advantage of a split is that it applies equally to all. Check out the QNET stock dividend. If you have the temerity to hold through the end of the trading day tomorrow, you get 3 additional shares for each share you own - except that they are unregistered and you can't sell them. Well, long term shareholders who have held over 2 years can sell theirs, but the suckers, er I mean, short term buyers can't sell theirs for at least 6 months to a year, by which time the stock price should be back to $.50 or less, I assume.

What a cool pump and dump idea! Say you aren't going to automatically reduce the price and you can get three free shares. The boiler rooms have got to be working overtime tonight. You get suckers, er I mean customers clamouring to buy up through the end of the day tomorrow, and no one willing to sell, driving the price to fantastic new highs. Then on Thursday everyone tries to get their money out all at once. Should be fun to watch.
