Hi bennythebug,
How you doing?Let's see what we can do here. The parade seems to be passing us by so what to do?We lost out on tax selling but who cares
wheather we sold then or in the future doesn't matter a loss is a
loss on this years taxes or next if we sold now still a tax loss
to hopefully off set gains. Now the big question,MRVC is probably
in a good position if a correction were to hit this rally so it
would probably hold fairly firm compared to the others that have
had good runups.I can't see selling and don't like the idea of
taking a huge loss.On the other hand I have my eye on MSFT and
DELL and ELNK and even SCH but with the last run up I'm not buying
this high (might miss a run but that's life). My point is if I'm
holding this stock and still have money in it what is a better scenario to hold this stock in hopes of the company preforming like
one of the others I mentioned, or on a correction to cut my losses
(ugggggg) and put the money to use back in a large cap technology
stock with a growing company and funds pouring in from 401k plans and such.I have been thinking long and hard about this.It seems MRVC
lack of confidence has become apparant and either their confidence is low or they are trying to aquire the stock of their company back
at depressed levels (the theory of buy low eh!).Whatever the case if they are trying to aquire at depressed levels for a profit later on
this scenario we have been witnessing is the ideal enviroment....
I don't know still have things to think about all in the name of
making a profit,by the way MRVC investors do think of PROFIT without
it people sell sooner or later I belive they know this very well
being highly intelligent people.I hope they are not causing a shakeout
so to profit on lower stock prices then later pushing forward.
We are all caught in positions so as I heard Moses say in The Prince of Eygpt. "Let my people go!" I'm baubleling now,sorry......

Anyway best regards still holding, but my patience in this BULL RUN
is being SEVERELY tested...........Mr. Destiny

I think that the only thing that is depressing right now is the stock (I guess that's a pretty big thing also). But, I think that the company isn't doing that badly. We've grown consistently and rapidly in revenues and earnings. Management saw that they wouldn't grow that fast in the LAN switching space due to some strong competition and drastic price cutting, so they made a move to position the company in the higher-end arena and in fiber, where margins are much higher and the market is growing much more rapidly -- a good move in my eyes. Sure, the stock sucks right now (I bought 1750 shares at 23, and 3000 more at 5 3/4), but I think that the potential is worth hanging onto the stock. Besides, there is limited downside risk right now, it is unlikely that we will see anything much below $5, and it is conceivable that we get up to the $40 level in a couple years (if the new product line is as good as they say it is). I'll take the 540% upside/20% downside in this stock, while others are making 40%. Although we may have stumbled and fell, we are used to running at a Carl Lewis speed. Cheers
