Paul, BRE-X was g good investment, as long as you got out before the fall. It went from 10 cents to $238. Many people in the BRE-X home town bought 10,000 shares and sold over $100 and retired. Others went down in flames as the fraud was exposed.
I never held BRE-X as i was aware of a number of inconsistencies and they kept me at bay. I was active on the BRE-X thread prior to the fall with my misgivings......you could not tell those people anything....got lots of flames, threats, etc. I got quite a few out before the fall. SHortly after that Gold fell, and now I look for bottom feed opportunities and buy well undervalued stocks that are now at pennies and will return to dollars in a few years. Pick only those with cash on hand to last a few years of course.
If the internet stocks crash and burn and drag down the whole sector many in nasdaq stocks might consider trying a junior mine or two.
Now is the time to get the due diligence done.
As to going back to mining, I never left it.
