Antares starts Ojolali contract of work Antares Mining and Exploration Corp ANZ Shares issued 18,992,219 Jan 7 close $0.10 Fri 8 Jan 99 News Release Mr. Robert Yeoman reports Antares' contract of work application for its Ojolali gold and silver property in southern Sumatra, Indonesia, has been started by the Indonesian director of Business Development of Mines, and a representative of Antares and its joint venture partners. Antares owns 76.5 per cent of the Ojolali property, while Coleville Resources and Indonesian interests own 13.5 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively. The initialing of the contract of work application is an important step in the process of obtaining a seventh generation contract of work for this property. In addition to its 76.5 per cent interest in, and operatorship of, the 31,644 hectares Ojolali gold and silver property, Antares has an approximately 40 per cent joint venture interest in the 28,748 hectares Toodoggone gold property in north central British Columbia; a debenture which can be converted into an up to 20 per cent share of Steppe Gold Resources' interests in its gold and base metal properties in Kazakhstan; as well as a 34.5 per cent interest in the Lady Lina gold property in Zimbabwe. Antares also owns a 24.75 per cent beneficial interest in Rappa Holdings (Pty.), a profitable South African-based gold and cobalt recovery operation.
