I'm new to sales terminology, what exactly does "channel stuffing" mean? Why is this a bad thing?

In spite of the preannouncement, it looks like the company is acting decisively to rectify the source of the problem by replacing the head of North American sales with the VP of overseas sales who has been successful. I would expect the market may recognize this fact after it resets earnings expectations and realizes that forward PE is still quite reasonable. Would like to see some guidance from company for next quarter. They may want to reset stock price so they can complete their stock repurchase.
