Madera Announces Status on New Web Site

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Madera International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WOOD)
today announced that the launching of its new web site has encountered some minor design flaws that
require additional work before the site can be inaugurated. Company consultants estimate now that the
site should be up and running no later than Monday, January 11, 1999.

Ramiro Fernendez-Moris, CEO of WOOD, stated that all of the Company's investors should rest assured
that the web site is going to be launched very soon and company management is expecting that this new
extraordinary addition to the Company's marketing department will be a huge success. The only reason
that the Company is delaying the official launching from January 4th to the 11th is to repair minor flaws
and re-arrange some of the literature content to make everything meet the Company's high quality
standards and expectations. The address to the new site now in its final construction and re-design stage
is www.maderaintl.com.
