I say, let em try! LOL. I think it'll backfire just as I say. Here a trial will finally be over and you want the Dems to be out there squawking about it- no matter your spin- I don't think that will sell, just as I've said.

As for the polls, you alluded to the very polling I was refering to in your own post. You've explained it away just as I expected. That you think I've confused something is telling- your head is in the sand. A made a point about the American people, and you choose to ignore it. It overides all you say about more recent polls, I do believe.

History knows he's guilty and deserves condemnation and removal- which is as traditional Democratic thought would otherwise have it! Dems are the TRUE partisans who ignore reality for the sake of political considerations- and it's so plain History can't miss it. They should wake up!

I have to agree, polls aside, that the Democratic Party does have the upper hand. There are just too many spins that they can put on this. I get a feeling that people will punish the Republicans in 2000 if there is a trial and/or a removal (resignation would be best for Republicans--a reason not to do it). The national and global embarrassment of a trial alone will go a long way in putting a bad light on Republicans for 'causing it' (forcing a trial).
