The analysts are guided to the "correct" numbers by the companies management team. If the company can't even hit the numbers that hey have basically spoon fed the analysts then the stock should tank because the management team is clearly blowing it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm long AMZN as we speak. I just want people not to rely solely on what someone is saying about a stock were there interests are so obviously conflicting. They aren't going to loss there bonus check. We on the other hand will lose real money.

You can rationalize that because AMZN, and e-commerce in general, is so new and so uncharted that the "Strong Buy" is based on the stocks past performance. Well, we know what that is. Up and more Up. There are masses of people out there that will say stock goes up. Analyst says "Strong Buy". I'll take 100 shares please.

That's all right by me. It's all momentum and AMZN's got it.
