Next month Microsoft will begin distributing plug-ins for its Windows 95 and
98 operating systems which enable the operating systems to function as
modems, GLOBES reported. The software-based modem was developed in Israel
at Rockwell Semiconductors' development center, and will work at 56Kb, the
fastest speed currently available in standard modems for personal computers.

World-leading accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers intends to set up an
estimated $50 million investment fund, which will invest in Israeli and
other high-tech and life-sciences companies, THE JERUSALEM POST reported.
Kesselman Consultants, which represents PWC in Israel, said the company is
currently in negotiations to buy a local software company but declined to
provide further details.
