regarding YOU CAN GO INTO ANY COMPUSA,
BESTBUY, ETC. AND SEE THEIR PRODUCTS

A good sign for sure...although it does not
always work. I found a handful of products
stamped SoftQuad and Alpha Software at my
CompUSA--several MS Flight Sim add-ons, a
wysiwyg html editor, once the cutting edge
in it's area, called HoTMetaL. They had the
smattering of appovals and gold stars from
nerd magazines etc. and the clincher for me
was they were supposed to have an Elmo CDrom
for the kids by Christmas. Software for making
personal website for ecommerce cinched it for
me...and I was hooked. Did I mention XML--they
were supposed to have the experts on that.

I was in at just over a buck, oh I was into it
baby! And then as summer faded into fall, swebf
faded...a buck...3/4ths...and then a half dollar.

But wait, there is more. Now swebf stock has gone
from 50 cents, where I sold a few months ago, to
80 cents--just in the last five days.
What am I to think?--But I'm afriad of this
one now. Once bitten, twice shy.

I don't want to poo poo your idea, but be
careful. I made SWEBF my big shot at an
internet stock...bought something like 30000
shares at one point...and watched my money
get halved on that pick...actually even a
bit worse after commissions and stupid trades.

I don't know anything about your pick, but
make sure you don't fall in love with it.
Seeing products in the store a la Peter Lynch
is great first start, but only that...and they
have a way of breaking your heart just when
you thing the money is going to start pouring in.
At some point you may have to take a loss, or
maybe you get stopped out...very very tricky
this little software companies.

But then, I moved on to microcap biotech, a
much safer area in which to invest. ha ha!
So what do I know!
