Jim, this is Wyoming - we don't have a night life. I was following the keynote on Apple Talk thanks to jimh's posts. From what he said it was an impressive demo. 49 iMacs running different streaming videos, 1 iMac with the hard drive removed. Together with remote booting of the clients, the advantage of an easy to use server system like this is pretty obvious.

Oracle and Sun approaching enterprise via a micro-kernal embedded in the database thereby doing away with the OS is a threat to both Microsoft and Apple's vision of a OS centric philosophy. It will be interesting to see how this pans out but for the time being Apple finally having a modern server OS will definitely help lock up the education market and may make some inroads into enterprise.

What's that about the $5 billion, I'm still catching up and shaking away the cobwebs 2 months without any outside communications engenders. Rich
