Investor-ex, Bankers can do whatever they want nothing is illegal
for them. You don't need bombs to rule the world just a bankers chair.
London--Jan 5--UK stockbroker T Hoare and Co says gold and platinum are 2
exceptions in an otherwise bleak outlook for metals. "Our 2 favorite metals are
gold and platinum...The signs of a (gold) revival are early and small, but they
are there. For example, during 1998 gold has led the Dow (Jones industrial
index) rather than running to it. This is a classic risk hedge performance and
has not been seen in the US for over 20 years," a T Hoare report said. By

Brazil's Minas Gerais state suspends debt payments

BRASILIA, Jan 6 (Reuters) - The Brazilian state of Minas Gerais announced Wednesday a 90-day moratorium on payments of its debt to the central government in defiance of President Fernando Henrique Cardoso and his anti-crisis austerity drive.

Minas Gerais governor Itamar Franco, himself a former Brazilian president, said he ordered the payments to be halted ''for absolute lack of money'' in the central Brazilian state, the country's third largest in economic terms.
