Republicans intact? I see that- though I wish it weren't so.

I think Al Gore is being way overestimated! He truly has a Quayle- like sadsack image among the American People.

Gore could be Pres. for 10 years indeed! That may well be the reason Clinton will resign in due course here! Can't hurry and lose Gore his second term, however!

Smart deal to let Clinton off? I don't think so. Republicans are in danger of losing their very rabid core if they drop this. And truly, the general Public DOES know what Clinton is and DOES condemn him, and WILL "forgive" those who punish the lout! If I were a Republican, I'd do just as they seem to be doing...go through with it! It's also the only really proper way to go...just ask Senator BYRD.
