Seems to be some large disagreement as to whether purchasing today will net one a 3 share dividend. Sounds to me like this is akin to an ex-dividend date, which means indeed that todays buyers will get the dividend as someone else has stated here. Maybe I'm wrong, having no information other than this thread- but maybe not. But of course, even if I'm right, still you should short if you can- since stocks normally fall the day after the ex-dividend date. This one should be a doozy I'd imagine! YEOW!
