joe, I honestly don't know if everyone using @Home service has to use a 3Com modem. It seems to that when they first started there were people using other brands, in fact I'm sure of that by way of lurking over on the @Home thread. I think MOT was a big player at the start of cable modem service.

In my area (Salt Lake City) it will be $40/month but it can range from $30 to $50 depending on area. Looks like 3CVom cable modems top out around $300, that's probably for the external.

So everyone who uses @Home has to use a 3Com
Cable Modem? btw...how much are they going for and
how much is the service, if you don't mind my asking?:-)
