Craig,

Has Intel declared a price war on the Winchip or does this mean that they have WAY too many unsold units in inventory?

My interpretation is that Intel is intent on regaining market share at the low end, and they feel that Xeon profitability will allow them the flexibility to do so.

Intel is waging an all out war in the low end.

However, the 300A has been discontinued - so I would assume Intel has little or none in inventory.

Remember - Intel just introduced a 366 MHz Celron at $132 and a 400 MHz Celeron at $158.

Intel is the value proposition leader and is trying to help the consumers who have been price-gouged by AMD and Cyrix.
