coving, ECD's expects to get royalties off all erasable phase change disks. It seems to be having a problem with some CD-rewritable companies. Joe pointed out royalties are very low. This old post is what I wrote after last years meeting.

One late development is ECD has won some patent rights in Japan.

DVD erasable seems to be dragging its feet in getting here. Erasable television disks and computer backup disks could be a very big market even at a lowly 1% royalties. (Royalties rate was not answered at last meeting.)

The tape being developed should have 800 gigabytes on a single tape.
