donald: I am not that familiar with MEGAPHONEs so if anyone wants to comment - please do.

I don't use "megaphones"...look inside the "magaphone" and you will see a bullish flag on the Dow Industrials. (5 Min Semi-Log Interval Chart)

Do you mean "broadening top" by megaphone?

<OT> sorta.
UGH!!! and Geesh. Is anyone else as amazed as I am?? I'm turning seriously bearish, and I hate it. Bears are no fun. But how much further can these markets gap up before someone comes along with a pin and pricks??? UGH. The more I learn, the harder it is to decide.UGH UGH UGH. Too many conflicting signals, too many that say things should retreat, cool off, but too many people want in to this market at any price. I don't know whether to feel sorry for everybody piling into AMZN at 410 (presplit) or to praise their fortitude and vision.

How can one not be mesmerized, shocked, thrilled, and frightened (well not really scared in a "I'm watching JAWS for the first time and I'm 7 yrs old" kinda way, but you get it)???

Excuse the obviously frustrated tone, I hope it is conveyed cause its there, but I needed to vent.

Thank you, someday I will be that Zen-like, unemotional trader/investor who responds only to the numbers and moves with the trend, but I ain't there yet, not even close. heh heh heh.
Time to do something simple, make and eat pancakes.

Hi Donald. I have been watching Debra's posting of NH/NL's and am assuming that they are daily #'s. However, IBD's listing of 52-week NH/NL's are usually different than Debras'. Todays paper shows yesterdays #'s as 171 NH, 29 NL.

Would these numbers change anyones TA? Just curious.
TIA, Challo

donald,

I agree, if I am interpreting your analysis correctly, that this market will take a breather somewhere in the next few days. Good enough for a bit of index shorting. Hit and run.
Matter of fact, I have an urge to short this top. I believe I will lay down a bit until it passes<g>.
