David, I'm using DJIA for RS because it's easier to scan a DWA portfolio than to individually calculating RS using the S&P500. As you know I favor using the S&P500 and do so with individual holdings. But with 500 stocks to follow, it's easier to scan. When the market moves up strongly, the BRL goes first. When the market is going sideways, RS is usually the first signal. BTW, I found an OIL index on Yahoo - ^IPCI. I haven't figured out how to get its historical data yet. Later, Dick

P&F125-basic study. Action #37. MCK replaces HBOC in the S&P500. MRK,AEP,CG,CL,CPL,D,ED,LLY,NCE,PE,SLE & SO had RS reverse to O's. MRK,CL & NCE were in the standby group. The number of S&P 500 stocks that have both a positive trend and RS in X drops from 210 to 198. 210 is the high water mark so far. 115 (on 10/12/98) is the low water mark so far.
