From Briefing: 09:13 ET Apple Computer (AAPL) 43 15/16: CIBC Oppenheimer downgrades issue from "hold" to "underperform."

This is a big surprise. Maintaining their "hold" recommendation in the middle of a turnaround already seems conservative. A downgrade to "underperform" is downright pessimistic. The short interest continues to grow, while few analysts upgrade. What could they be thinking? This is not a rethorical question. Any guesses about what could they have in mind?

Btw, I ran across a snippet on iMac sales in Mexico for 1998: 4,000 and change, about half of what was originally forecasted by Apple Mexico.
