Stitch and Others:

I am long Seagate and read your thread with interest whenever I get a chance.

There is an article in Jim Cramer's thestreet.com this morning which indirectly relates to Seagate and should be of interest to all SEG holders...

To briefly summarize, Dragon Systems is a leading developer of speech-recognition software. The company's main product is the popular NaturallySpeaking software. Dragon Systems will be floating an IPO on NADSDQ sometime in early February. The company had a very good year in 1998. Revenues, earnings, and gross margins have all shown tremendous year-over-year growth. And all during the same period, Dragon Systems products have gained market share vs. competitors, IBM and L&H.

So, here's the point of interest for purposes of this thread. Seagate holds 38% of the outstanding stock of Dragon Systems, according to the article. My judgment is that the Dragon Systems IPO should somehow translate positively for SEG shareholders ...

What are your thoughts on this new development....?
