(NASDAQ: WCII) today announced it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with a proposed public offering of 4,200,000 shares of its common stock. The offering will be managed by Salomon Smith Barney Inc. and Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. There are no selling stockholders included in this registration. The net proceeds of the proposed offering will be used for the general development and growth of WinStar's operations, both domestically and abroad.
