Milacron Launches Milpro.Com, a Pioneering E-Commerce Initiative Using
Open Market's Transact and LiveCommerce

BURLINGTON, Mass., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Market, Inc. (Nasdaq: OMKT - news), a leading provider of Internet commerce and information publishing
software, today announced that Milacron Inc. (NYSE: MZ - news), a leading manufacturer of tools and systems for processing plastics and metals, has launched a
major Internet commerce site using Open Market's Transactâ„¢ and LiveCommerceâ„¢ software. Milacron will be using the software to change the way they sell
metalworking supplies to more than 100,000 small job shops, significantly expanding their ability to serve this market.

''To our knowledge, Milacron is the first industrial manufacturer to launch such an ambitious web initiative, serving a national market with a high-tech solution,'' said
Gary Eichhorn, president and CEO, Open Market, Inc. ''Open Market continues to prove that we have the right solutions for companies that are leading the
transformation of their industries.''

''We wanted to enter 1999 with our e-commerce site up and running,'' said Alan Shaffer, Milacron group vice president for industrial products. ''We chose to work
with Open Market because they are experts at Internet commerce. We got to market quickly and saved significant costs while doing it. MILPRO.COM is now live
and in production with 50,000 items available for purchase over the Internet''

Milacron is taking advantage of the power of Open Market's distributed Internet commerce solution through their cross-divisional Web site, milpro.com.
The site allows Milacron to present ''one face'' to the customer, allowing them to purchase over 50,000 products from all divisions within Milacron's Industrial
Products Group. The complex tasks of order processing, routing and billing to the appropriate divisions are handled behind the scenes using Open Market's Transact
and LiveCommerce. This solution allows Milacron to use the Web to fundamentally change how their customers interact with the company, yet seamlessly integrate
with the strong existing infrastructure of the company.

Milacron is also using its site to improve customer relationships by extending valuable product information to both customers and distributors. Due to the highly
technical nature of Milacron's product lines, many of their products are not optimally applied. Milacron's Web site has in-depth interactive technical information that is
instantly accessible to customers, so they can get the full value out of Milacron's products. The site also provides access to Material Safety Data Sheets that can be
printed on demand.

Working closely with Open Market, EMC Corporation [NYSE:EMC - news], the world's leading provider of enterprise storage systems, software and services,
hosts and manages milpro.com on a 24 x 7 basis and leverages its world-class engineering expertise to provide reliable, high performance access to applications and
data. In addition, EMC's Symmetrix enterprise storage systems offer milpro.com superior levels of information management, protection and sharing.
