Shalom,
I am glad you feel that way. I hope that it inspires you greatly.
the only part I had a problem with the "obedience" part. But I am sure that you could have guessed that:-)

To Steve, et al,

I have not gotten back to you on our conversation for a couple of reasons. The first and lessor reason, is that I don't have the time right now, to answer the double digit questions posed towards me. I do appreciate the interest in the conversation though:-)

The second part is more difficult. I am finding it increasingly harder
to engage in this my philosophy vs. yours, coversation, without pointing out the aspects of Christianity that I disagree with and why.
It is not now, or never was, my intention to come on to a predominately christian thread and disparage other people's beliefs.
I am not comfortable doing that, and feel that it serves little purpose. It is even more dificult, because I enjoy and like talking to many of you. Therefore, trying to point out what I believe are inconsistencies in what you believe is difficult, and uncomfortable.

In addition, it is fruitless to some extent, because no one will change their position or thought process anyway. Essentially, it all boils to this. to some extent, you believe that there are aspects that shouldn't be questioned and that you must have faith. In essence, my beliefs are more rooted in the inner self. We both think we are right, and both fail to see the logic of the other view point.

Given that, we can agree to disagree with mutual respect. I will still
always be happy to answer any questions regarding what I believe, but really dont want to debate why I have some philosophical problems with what you believe.

Sincerely,
Mark

Ps 8:1-9
1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

><>...For with thee is the fountain of life...><>

Ps 36:1-12

1 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

><>... I's a glorious life when Christ is your Lord...><>

When ~~peace like a river

Attendeth my ~way
When ~~sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot~
thou hast~~ taught me to say
It is well~~~ it is well~~~ with my soul

It is well~~ with my soul
It is ~~well it is well
with my soul~~

Though satan should~~ buffet
Though ~~trials should come
Let this blessed ~~~assurance control
That ~~~Christ~~~ has regarded
my helpless estate~~
And has shed His own ~~blood
for my soul~~

And Lord haste ~~~the day
When the ~~~faith~~~ shall be sight
The clouds~~~ be rolled back as a scroll....Praise God
The trumpet~~ shall resound
And the Lord shall ~~descend...Picture it!...WOW!!
Even so ~~it is well with my soul~~!

Even so come Lord Jesus!

Shalom...><>
