Compaq releases first home computer installed for DSL hook up...http://dailynews.yahoo.com/headlines/tc/story.html?s=v/nm/19990106/tc/compaq_2.html

<The computers will be able to access Internet digital service lines that are much faster than current 56K modems.>

Inaddition...<- allowing several users to simultaneously use the Internet and print to a shared printer. >

I thought that was what WSTL's SMARTLINK did and I also thought that WSTL was the only one who had that technology (patented)...I could have sworn that was what MZ said to me??? Maybe it is different tech?

Michael F. Donadio,

I sure hope you are right too,......time will tell and we will see.
Kind of like USR riding high on the 28k and 33k modems until the competition caught up,..... only times are different,.....much more agressive.
