I don't know Champion? Why haven't Amazon, E-bay, AOL, Etc. done this? Because it is not in there business plan. Will it be? I doubt it (JMHO).

Is Amazon the be all....Hmmm, go ask Wal-Mart. They just started selling books over the internet. Interesting thing, Wal-mart sells their books lower than Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Can Amazon or Barnes and Noble sell their books as cheap as Wal-Mart? No. Wal-Marts margins are in the 1%- 2% range, some are lower on certain items. Wal-Mart survives because of their size. Very few can compete against a company that thrives with margins in the 1% - 2% range.

Will Amazon be a dead horse next year or three years from now? NO. (JMHO) It too is a leader and very large, but they will not be entering and competing against every company out there. I think you need to look at market segments, and business plans. You obviously do not understand what is involved in entering different market segments. One does not just say they are going to do it and it happen and they are successful overnight. (JMHO)
