DBCC:

Looks terribly weak today. I'm going to sell my remaining holdings at a loss.

DM - IFMX Trade 12.68 Bought

I have been watching this stock for a couple of weeks but did not get in until today after missing the 2 point run up this morning I waited for pullback. Showing good support at 12.5 intra-day. I am looking for it to move back up by end of day. My goal is .5 by end of day. If not I will probably get out. The stock was at 8 on 12/30 so up over 50% in four days. Also it has been mentioned as a buy the past two days by Stock Street Cafe. I'm a bit nervous holding overnight with the recent run but what do I know?

All: IFMX 1/6 up 1.25 to close at $12.5 on 20 mill shs. Over the past 5 trading days this stock is up from 8 which is a 56% gain. I've done some quick DD and where is what I've found:

New management in the past six months with a new CFO Howard Bain from Symantec announced 1/4.

New contracts with Baby Bells and Wallmart.

Presented at the Morgan Stanley Networking, Software and Internet Conference.

IFMX users conference is scheduled for 1/19 and new product announcements are expected along with general hype.

Advisor.com picks IFMX in its top ten portfolio and speculates that it is a takeover target in 1999. Raging Bull is also rating IFMX a buy and holding it their portfolio.

CNBC has given several mentions to the stock mostly on 1/5 by Michael Murphy.

The aftermarket today was rather active trading at roughly 12 3/8 to 12.5, based on a post from the SI IFMX thread.

IFMX acquired Red Brick Systems and received stockholder approval announced 1/4.

Earnings 4-Q 98 are expected to be $.11 and according to Thompson's the announcement should be 2/12/99. Another poster on the IFMX thread indicated 2/1/99. I will keep looking to pin this one down. Based on $.11 in 4Q 98 the year's EPS would be $.28 which is a significant turnaround from 1997 $(2.36).

Float 151 m.
Institutions own 20% of the stock and apparently have been buying more.

Short Interest 9.4 m 12/98. May be a lot smaller now given the run up.

TA: I am not an expert would like to know if any one else see these things differently or the same.

Volume very strong over the past five days

<12/24/98 1,615,800
12/28/98 1,939,300
12/29/98 1,962,300
12/30/98 5,218,400
12/31/98 5,728,200
01/04/99 12,541,500
01/05/99 9,580,000
01/06/99 20,277,400>

Stochastics fast ducked under the slow based on Clear Station chart 1/6. Could be showing signs of slowing down.

The stock has blown through the old 52-week high of 10.44 from May-98.

I held my position today at 12.68 and will see what happens in the morn. I will probably dump if it looks weak and wait for a pullback and some consolidation.

Good Trading
