Venkie...CPQ can be played safely any number of ways right now on the long side. Unless the market tanks over the next 30 days I would expect to see it move $50 with the normal daily fluctuations of a point or more.

I spoke with a CPQ manager last night who told me he had been working the 30th and 31st on year end shipments. The interesting part was that he was getting stuff routed so that it would ship AFTER the 1st - i.e. pushing the revenue into '99.

IMO this means that the 4Q numbers are in the bag - there is no way any product group would do that if there was any question about 4Q numbers. Now they are trying to get a headstart on 1Q99.
