Cyberbroker server//Townsend,Terra Nova COI/what happens when Terra Nova branch office goes bust? Shoot, thanks for your post. It is definitely noteworthy that CyberBroker has finally become a complete alternative to the Townsend/Terra Nova COI (Conflicts of Interests). Cyberbroker has their own server, they do not use Real Tick but their own unique software, they do not clear Southwest, they are not principals in an ECN, they do not engage in proprietary trading, they do not screw their customers through an order routing program (ARCA) that directs order flow through the Archipelago ECN (TNTO), in short, they are one hell of an alternative. Plus there is the added benefit that their ticket charge is lower than MB Trading, and X. Cyberbroker really shows their integrity by giving you a cash credit when you add liquidity to the Island ECN! Also, they are not a branch office of a broker dealer like MB Trading and X, but are their own broker dealer. The only negative about them is that their ticket charge is not as low as JPR. That said, JPR clears Southwest, and given some of your comments about Southwest and those of other traders that were on the below site, that is more significant than I used to think.elitetrader.com I have received a number of positive private messages about the firm, A.B. Watley. It is truly comforting for those concerned about running into account scams as apparently happened at the Terra Nova branch office in Seattle, see post below, that Watley has been around since 1958. What happens if a branch office of Terra Nova goes bust? How long does it take to get one's money? They were a division of Terra Nova. The company is soon to go out of bussiness. They had this woman named Melissa who was having an affair with the married owner David , who was taking money out of everyones account and putting it into a few select indidvuals accounts so that they could hold over nite trades. I came in one morning to find that I had no buying power, and she told me that she mistakenly took it out of my account,(along with every one elses account in the room.)??? I called Terra Nova and they said that I had signed for the authorization and transfer of funds, which I had not! They also used $200,000 of another individual(chinese woman's) money and promised to pay her back with interest. To my knowledge nothing was done about it. I quit trading there September 1997.
