But Conscience, maybe I find your particular point irrelevant. I don't quite know why I'm supposed to be oblidged to address everybody's loaded questions, from people who are so fundamentally respectful of political differences.

Politicians always claim credit for whatever they can. Reagan claimed to have stopped inflation, but the big deficits were all the fault of Congress. On inflation, it was probably mostly due to Paul Volcker, but he was a Carter appointment and so got no credit. That's life.

Just a side note, please don't dwell on it, are you quoting that has an opinion? Or are you quoting that as scripture?

Aside from the unparsability , I have no idea what you're refering to. Doesn't much matter, though.
