Saw these $$$ last Spring from GTE at InterOp. Know the tech for xDSL not as far along on the silicon side as on the CM side but the pricing then as now seems exorbitant for the speed. Will be very interested to see what happens when both types of service are available in same physical location. Since xDSL "appears" to be more flexible in terms of where it's rolled out (DSLAM in CO, card at CPE and nothing in between), have to wonder if telcos are not avoiding areas cable has upgraded, thereby giving them price freedom? Will be interesting for both sides but right now some great opportunities.
