Im curious as to why you think healthcare redistribution is only happening with regard to government (medicare) vs. everybody else. Is that what you are saying? If so, I disagree a little. Of course medicare does a lot of that - redistributing the costs - but equally offensive here are large insurers vs. individuals. I saw what Dell negotiated with their insurers as rates for their large group plan - one provider was more than 50% off the retail cost. And this is a more encompassing problem than medicare because there are no restrictions at all. We need a law that says insurers that do provide private coverage must do so at rates no more than 25% higher than the lowest negotiated rate, or something like that. Without this type of legislation, the young will never be insured, because there is no way the 25 year olds Hillary is referring to can obtain value for their money now.
