"I will never be as rich as bill Gates, or Jimi Buffet".

Jimi Buffet? Don't you mean Warren? Sounds like you're wasting away in Margaritaville.

TAKI, thanks for reminding us that there is more to life than SI, and trading. And for the encouragement to those that might feel despair when their portfolios are down.

Taki, similar experience with girlfriend's father '97-98 in coma - choking on steak in NYC restaurant - went into coma and died about year later.

Never put so many miles on the car, many sleepless nights, try to calm anger & sadness of her, and much more.

It wore me down for sure. And had a broker (did not know so well of on-line trading) - 3 companies lousy prices and picks and recommended gold. That time cost me money, too and a lot of it. That money was made through jobs vs in the market.

So, you can be sure I accept no bullsh and will hammer (with words) any wrong info I am given - there is no fuc_ing way am I getting screwed.

I would hope to dialogue with those having tech expertise on SI as the research I've done is much more than a quick superficial look and knowing the fundamentals u can position trade and catch things like mmcn when they all of a sudden move - too late if not in beforehand.

Taki, you also got to rem that if you are good at something, another negative is people will resent you it to try to bring you to their level. There is much more character in a person providing factual info and respecting rules of a thread - for starters.

Good night all

Taki - Great post, and thoughts for all of us to remember. I never knew my dad, he died when I was three. I had never had money growing up.

I've learned my lessons on stocks and information I post too. I will never try to make money from information I post unless I know others can too...hard lesson!

Good luck with your father. I wish I had one!

Taki, that is a truly inspiring message. I had a very good December, and last 3 days went very well. Today, it just seems every trade I entered I ran into a brick wall. Even though I suffered no big losses today, your post came in at the perfect time -- I just feel much more motivated after reading it.

Some people make the world special just by being in it, thanks.
