What happens to the people who bought after the 12/28, do they still get the split?

Aaaaaaargh! Please don't start this discussion again!

Nothing happens to them. The stock splits on 1/11. How could it be otherwise? Why would people be buying the stock after 12/28 if they weren't going to get the split? Would you pay $150 for a stock you knew would be worth $75 in three more trading days?

I'm not directing my venom at you, Mark, but every time a split is announced in a stock (every week or so among the Internets) we get 300 newbie questions about the record date vs. distribution date. We just went through this on this thread last week.
