But you have to love that "sinister scheme" line from the release. Like something off the Cartoon Network. Do you suppose Dick Dastardly had a hand in it?

While I'm not an expert, I did observe the following in the website:

The Company is currently conducting a pre-feasibility study to further verify the resource.

And from a release:

the company has rescheduled the 8,000-foot diamond drill program on the IKAR property to commence early in 1999. This drill program is planned to further test and confirm extensions of the previously discovered mineralized zone, before production begins.

I'd say anyone seriously considering an investment here should do some research into how much time and capital expense is involved between drilling a test hole and bringing a mining operation into full production.

Some obvious questions:

What infrastructure exists in the area? How will the company bring its equipment into the area? How will it bring ore out? Will they refine ore on site, or bring ore - including tons of rock per pound of tungsten - out? If it is necessary to build a refinery and all the necessary infrastructure, who will provide the huge amounts of capital required?

Mining operations in general are extremely capital-intensive, and require many years of operation to recover costs. How sure can we be that political stability in Tajikstan will allow this recovery?

Maybe I should just say good luck...
