<< Me neither, except once in a while they try an end run like Barrick has tried with ARP. Not nicknamed the Barrackuda for nothing. I think that's a Bill Jacksonism. >>

Maybe ABX learned a lesson with Arequipa...they did pay $150/ounce or so. But really, I don't think they were stealing anything at $5.50. The Lundin should have accepted..they were greedy IMO. The property was worth $5.50 to ABX...but much less to others. I doubt they will get a higher bid.

<<So true, and they can raise havoc with a stock if they decide to dump it for whatever reason, sometimes merely a change in management or a change in philosophy.>>

Yep...ain't nothing like retail.

<< Yes I agree, the trick on these is to know whether it's just a "play" or is there something genuine>>

That is the real danger...unfortunetely. Promotion can move a stock big time when these guys supply the rose glasses.

<<Yeah, Murray ended up getting suspended for a year on that play for failing to disclose for three weeks the glory hole of 300 feet of .80 oz/ton Au I believe it was. >>

Remember that ...but I think it was 600 feet of 1.6 opt gold eq...???

<<He tried to claim that he didn't think it was material information.>>

He was so naive! <ggg>

<<We've got to stop agreeing with each other this way>>

I agree!
