johnd:

A correction can come at any time no question, and I think this market definitely could blow off some steam. I prefer to hold issues like MSFT and INTC (have had both for a long time and never sold a share) and add to those positions during market downturns. It works for me and I sleep well at night and don't pay the taxman (yet).

Sorry, Johnd, I went from memory without checking. My quicken chart shows we had 17 point slide in August, it went back up, and we then had a 19 point slide in October. Memory fails me tonite as to the reason for the August slide. Someone else posted that the DOJ decision could cause a drop, and that is true. However, I bought back in in December at 127, after missing the runup to that point, and it would take a 24 point drop just to put me back to even, so I am not too worried about the DOJ.
