Using the Order Entry Screen in Real Tick III:

If you double click on the offer of the MM window ( anywhere in the colorful tiers ) the buttons on the Big oes will all be buys.

Double clicking the bid size will make all the buttons sells

The price is automatically set to the bid.

if you like to BUY on the bid ... and who doesn't?

you can ALT+ double click on the bid and all the buttons will be BUYS and the price will be the bid price

I am a big fan of ALT + double click

use the up down "spin" buttons next to the price to adjust the price

same way for trade size

Right click on the Big oes and choose Order Entry Properties

adjust the values of the "spin button increments" to suit you and the type of stocks you are flipping

i highly recommend UNchecking the Request Trade Confirmation if you do: then when you click on a buy or sell button in the OES your trade goes live immediately.

I cant believe I traded a whole month before I knew i could get rid of that stupid pop-up dialog box! "Are you SURE you want to buy 500 shares of DGCRP?" no need for that

You don't need to select sell short, on the OES, to sell short. Not sure why that check box still exists.

If you have no short cut keys made yet; i urge you to create two right away and try them out.

These two short cut keys will not allow your house hold pet to place trades for you!

The first shortcut is for testing to see if a stock is shortable through the system. It is THE way to find out if a stock is available. quick, easy, painless. Try it you will love it.

The second shortcut I would suggest is a Cancel all live orders shortcut.

Remember the Level II window MUST be the active window for the short cut keys to work! Just click on the Level II window ONCE, the title bar will indicate that it is the active window and you are set.

Thanks to phactor! His website is a great resource.

hope this helps,
