"anyone shorting AMZN or YHOO is an idiot."

Now now, that's a little harsh, wouldn't you say? One of these days someone's going to call the top for real. It won't be me, at least not before it happens. <g>

John,

I would not call all of them dumb. Maybe contrary or those that want to be able to call the top by being short when the day does come that they do fall hard. Someone on this thread will be very lucky and will short AMZN at the very top, but in my opinion one would have just as good a chance at hitting the power ball jackpot! I look at trying to pick bottoms and tops in a stock kind of like a McDonalds's Big Mac. I would rather wait and miss out on most of the bread and get all that is in the middle of the sandwich. In other words I don't mind missing the bottom or a top as long as I get most of the middle part of a move and I will wait for the trend to change before stepping into a position such as what AMZN is in now!

John,

IMHO, the people that are long the "Internuts" at these levels are a lot more stupid than the shorts.

Disclaimer; I am neutral.

Only time will tell.

Have fun,
Phil

>>anyone shorting AMZN or YHOO is an idiot.<<

I know a guy who shorted 500 YHOO at $72 back in late Sept/early Oct.

He covered 200 shares around $275, and he is still short the remaining 300 shares.

Seeing as he also shorted CMGI, LCOS, DELL and a few others at the same time he shorted YHOO (none of which he covered until December!), this is one trader who "lost all the money he made last year and then more."

And yet, again, he remains short YHOO...

JS
