Sometimes (at least with the S&P futures, which can also be seen with that Java applet....) you need to click on "all sessions".

If you want to see the S&P futures, use "SP9H", and click on "All Sessions" in the "TYPE" button.

My experience has been that it will NOT show you instinet trades after hours (like all night), but will in the morning.
