[Aside: Starting a thread title with someone's name online can often be perceived as confrontational... I'll assume that was inadvertent, and that you're actually just seeking feedback instead.]

If some other tool gets a positive mention, then more power to 'em. The MacWorld "Best of Show" mentions have previously been for tools introduced at the Expo, although this year they opened it up to recent software. Flash was launched last spring, and Director launched three months back. They also focus on tools which don't get much attention. You can find the full rationale on the MacWorld pages.

I did stop by the Totally Hip booth, and was ready to pay for a beta, but they apparently couldn't deliver it. The Lari Software booth got a good response, with a professional presentation and crowds. T.A.G Editor is also shipping, and Tribeworks and Abvent also got some mention for their media tools. Lots of interesting little tools this time around.

It was also nice to see a demo of Final Cut... wasn't the first I've seen <g>, but it looks like it'll be a really sweet video tool.
