Beats me Linda. All I understood was that he was selling insurance for people who are prone to speculative wrong way positions. At the time, I didn't know who he was, having missed the introduction. His use of AAPL and the Op. downgrade as an example seemed a bit strained, even in the context of an options enlightenment soundbite.

If I was inclined to believe that my long position was wrong, and was looking for a hedge, I suppose some puts might ease the pain. But in reality, I would just eat the pain and try to be right next time.
