Moving Average Crossover

One wants the shorter timeframe (3 day) to be above the longer (7 day) timeframe. this way, if the average closing price for the last three days is $12, and the average closing price for the last 7 days (or whatever periods you use) is $10, the price is rising, regardlessof what the open, high or low is. One can use Open, high, low, etc. but on stocks that swing wildly intraday, it skews the crossover signals.
