Hi charred, "Geologists that work for groups sorry to say this but like Newcrest won't put their job on line for a geologic idea. I bet most drill holes on Pico Machey were spotted in Denver and not by the Peruvian geologist who mapped and sampled the property. This is typical." Man do I agree with that! There was a geologist by the name of Jorge Britos, on the PFG property, who was there before the new management came along. He had spent his entire career working in that area. Knew the geology intimately. He was very enthusiastic about the Cerro Blanco. He had done extensive geologic work on the property prior to Shrake joining PFG, had basically suggested the area of most favourable geology for drill targets, but was overridden by Shrake(BIG EGO) and his geologists. They drilled 16 or 18 holes,(can't quite remember the exact number, it may have been less) where they thought it most likely and came up with some results which didn't satisfy them, and the property option was given up. Still would bet my money on Jorge today, when it comes to knowing the geology there, probably even better than Barrick's geologists in this case.

Nothing like intimate knowledge and hands on experience, I say.

Cheers

Shirley
