OT: I just realized that SI now charges around $10/month for membership fees, whereas those signing up (me included) over 1 year ago paid a fixed $100-200 dollar one time fee.

Additionally, I noticed that the $9.95/month online fees that Erols was quoting a few years ago, have now moved up to $13.95/month. Interesting that computers have become commoditized, while online services have moved up in price much like cable!! Hmmm, where's the competition? I remember a friend of mine telling me a year ago the internet will eventually charge for all kinds of services and access to information once consolidation occurs with ISP. Wow, I hope free enterprise doesn't lead to more fees!
