Everybody guessing at earnings is interesting, but what I'd rather see are guesstimates as to what the market's reaction of the stock price is going to be TO those earnings, say, maybe a week after their release. After all, our portfolios don't go up or down based solely on a company's absolute earnings. Share price is the ultimate name of the game, is it not? I'd rather see a company's stock go up 10 bucks on a 2 cent earnings than go down 5 bucks after making 20 cents. So, whaddya say, gang? Next time you throw out an earnings guess, let's augment that with a predicted near-term resultant share price as well. (As if ol' Maxwell hasn't got enough to do already!)
